15. Product- SurTec® 091 Surfactant Booster

Properties

  •  for alkaline cleaning baths
  •  liquid, highly concentrated product
  •  very good solubility even in highly concentrated alkaline baths
  •  excellent degreasing properties
  •  in combination with an appropriate builder applicable for hot- and ultrasonic degreasing
  •  especially suited for intensive electrolytic degreasing

Application
SurTec 091 Surfactant Booster can be added as tenside component to an alkaline builder (e.g. SurTec 190, SurTec 192) or it can be used as surfactant booster for soak- and ultrasonic cleaning (e.g. SurTec 184, SurTec 188) and for electrolytic degreasing (e.g. SurTec 171, SurTec 199).

Application

Take a sample at a homogeneously mixed position. Let it cool down to room temperature. If the sample is turbid, let the turbidity settle down and decant or filter the solution.

SurTec 101 – Analysis by Titration

reagents: 0.1 N hydrochloric or sulfuric acid
indicator: methyl orange solution (0.04 %)
procedure: 1. Pipette 20 ml bath sample into a 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask.
2. Dilute with deionised water to approx. 100 ml.
3. Add 3 drops of indicator.
4. Titrate with 0.1 N acid from yellow to red.
calculation: consumption in ml · 0.45 = %vol SurTec 101
